← All toolsRead LibrePass travel eSIM packages, networks and SIM-registration notes from a public MCP server and JSON feed, without placing an order.
What it does
LibrePass sells prepaid data-only travel eSIMs and publishes that catalogue for other software to read. The homepage says “Online everywhere. 202 countries.” and “See the network and its speed before you pay. Prepaid, no contract.” Links for popular countries on that page start at €3.90, and the page says prices are in euro, including VAT. It also says the network and 4G or 5G are shown per country, and that the eSIM can be installed before travel. The site’s llms.txt describes a separate Phone number eSIM for use in Europe, and it says card, VPN, second-passport guides, expat services and travel gear are waitlist or guide pages for now. This profile does not treat those pages as products you can buy today. The same site publishes a read-only MCP server at https://librepass.co/mcp/. llms.txt calls that catalogue read-only, with no authentication, and says it does not place orders. A tools list from that endpoint returned four tools, each marked read-only: search_countries, list_packages, get_package and sim_registration_rules. The server instructions describe a catalogue of data-only eSIM packages, with networks and prices in EUR including VAT, plus checked SIM-registration rules. They say the tools cannot buy anything and that a person should be sent to the url in the result. search_countries finds a country by name or ISO code and returns at most ten matches. list_packages lists packages for one country: data volume, validity, speed, the EUR price, daily plans, a monthly pool, the mobile networks and a page url. get_package reads one package by the id list_packages returned. sim_registration_rules says whether a prepaid SIM or eSIM must be registered to an identity, who must register, which document is used and what happens otherwise. It includes an official source and a check date, and it says the text is general information, not legal advice. A public JSON feed at https://librepass.co/feeds/plans.json is described on llms.txt as an eSIMDB RegularPlan feed. The same file is also served at https://librepass.co/esimdb/data-plans. Checked on 31 October 2026, the feed held 1,664 packages. Every package had an EUR price and a USD price, a data cap in GB, subscription set to false and tethering set to true. The generatedAt value on those packages was 2026-10-28. Coverage blocks named 206 country codes and recorded network names with technologies that include 5G, 4G and, less often, 3G. EUR amounts in the file ran from 1.9 to 685.9. Those amounts are package prices, not a charge for downloading the feed or calling the MCP. The terms of service name Eyloo GmbH, Im Hemchen 29, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, as the contract partner, and say LibrePass is a brand of Eyloo GmbH. An order is paid on a hosted payment page, and the eSIM activation data is sent by email. The terms describe a refund while the eSIM is unused. The Business API page is a separate early-access list. It says documentation and pricing are shared with that list first, and that the API is meant for software that creates and manages eSIMs. It is not the MCP catalogue, and this profile does not treat it as a connector you can call today.
Who it suits
Travel agents and tour operators who need a public eSIM catalogue, with networks and euro prices, that software can read without placing an order.
Integration and setup
The public read path is the MCP at https://librepass.co/mcp/ and the JSON feed at https://librepass.co/feeds/plans.json. The tools list was returned without an authentication header, which matches the site’s statement that the catalogue has no authentication. The server instructions say the tools cannot place an order. The Business API is an early-access waitlist with no public documentation, so do not budget a booking-system connector from that page.
What to check before buying
- Call search_countries and list_packages for a country you actually sell, and compare the EUR price with that country’s page on librepass.co.
- Open the official source cited by sim_registration_rules before you tell a client they must register a SIM.
- Do not plan a live booking integration on the Business API page until documentation and a price are published.
- Keep the homepage figure of 202 countries separate from the 206 coverage codes in the plan feed.
Limitations and considerations
- The MCP cannot buy an eSIM. Its instructions say to send the person to the package url. Checkout is a separate hosted payment page.
- No access fee is published for the MCP or the plan feed. That is not the eSIM price. Packages are prepaid in EUR, and popular countries on the homepage start at €3.90 including VAT.
- The Business API page is early access. It does not publish documentation or a price, so it is not a live integration in this profile.
- Card, VPN, expat services and travel-gear pages are described as waitlist or guide pages, not as products shipping with the data-only eSIM.
- SIM-registration text from the MCP is general information. The tool says it is not legal advice.
- The homepage says 202 countries. The plan feed checked on 31 October 2026 named 206 coverage codes. Those are not the same figure.
